Expand  (External)

Syntax
Expand [-r] Source [Destination]

Parameters
-r = Rename expanded files (valid for files compressed with -r switch)

Source = The source file. It may be multiple files; wildcards may be used.

Destination = The destination file or directory. If source is multiple files and -r is not specified, destination must be a directory. For this parameter, wildcards may not be used.

Description
Expands one or more compressed files.

Example
Expand d:\i386\hal.dl_ c:\windows\system32\hall.dll

The above command expands the compressed version of the hall.dll file to the proper directory on the local computer.
